MASKS
This workshop enters the world of the mask as a place of transformation. Working without words, participants discover how a static form begins to breathe, move and act through the body—through posture, tension, rhythm and breath.
The mask demands presence. It shifts the performer into a heightened state of attention, where listening replaces intention and play replaces control. As the body responds, a character emerges—unexpected, autonomous and precise. The actor becomes creator, storyteller and performer at once.
Through simple improvisations and short, structured situations, the work explores encounters between mask, ensemble and audience. Meaning arises through action, not explanation. Stories unfold from movement, rhythm and silence.
The focus remains on clarity and courage. Using direct physical tools, participants expand their expressive range and sharpen their physical language. Reflection, risk and collective play shape a rigorous yet generous space—where imagination is active, the body is awake, and the mask comes alive.
Available for conservatoires, festivals and professional training programs, and independent participants — no prior experience required.
